Dear moms, have you ever heard of cloth diapers? Emmm…. If “no”, well basically it is the diapers that can be washed and reused - so called environment friendly and say NO to disposable diapers. In view of reducing the usage of disposable diapers, I decided to try the cloth diapers. I had bought a pair of them for my first try but…. unfortunately I can’t give a very good comment on using it.
Why?
First of all, I would encourage moms to use cloth diapers if possible due to environment friendly purpose. However, I don’t think it suit my situation. I had been letting my baby to use napkins since she was borned. I only started to introduce her with disposable diapers when she grown elder - when we need to take her for outdoor activities or while she need to take her naps and sleep. Which means on the rest of other time, I will still let her to wear napkins.
After then, I wish to replacing the disposable diapers with the cloth diapers for her daytime naps. Unfortunately the results is not that good. She got rashes after wearing the cloth diapers for 2 to 3 hours. Yeah, the absorbency of cloth diapers will not as good as the good quality disposble diapers (e.g. special design with fast absorbance and stay dry type).
Usually we would encourage moms to change the cloth diapers whenever it gets wet. In that case, this will help to reduce of using disposable diapers - for cost-saving and environment-saving purpose. Anyway, if I need to change the cloth diapers every time she gets wet, I would rather stay with my napkins since I have more than 2 dozens with me.
